- Advances in the dyeing and finishing of technical textiles
The page digital publication PDF highlights recent significant developments in technical textiles and is essential reading for all industry professionals, as well as researchers, product developers, specifiers and those involved in the procurement of advanced flexible materials.
The new emerging technology of dyeing is really enthusiastic for textile industries and has reached the international advanced level and has meet the state emission-reduction and energy-saving requirements for environment-protection products. This technology also reduces the effluent load. Air Dye process is 2-sided and the hand feel of the finished fabric is luxurious and clean. Water is used in everything from irrigation to raising livestock, to dying textiles for the clothing we wear. But the textile industry is one of the most villainous sectors when it comes to depleting and polluting fresh water sources.

Chapter 3: UV-absorbent, antimicrobial, water-repellent and other types of functional dye for technical textile applications. The use of distinctive colourants and finishes has a significant impact on the aesthetic appeal and functionality of technical textiles. Advances in the textile chemical industry facilitate production of diverse desirable properties, and are therefore of great interest in the production of textile products with enhanced performance characteristics. Drawing on key research, Advances in the dyeing and finishing of technical textiles details important advances in this field and outlines their development for a range of applications. Part one reviews advances in dyes and colourants, including chromic materials, optical effect pigments and microencapsulated colourants for technical textile applications. Other types of functional dyes considered include UV- absorbent, anti-microbial and water-repellent dyes.

It seems that you're in Germany. We have a dedicated site for Germany. This book provides a comprehensive overview of the field of functional finishing of textiles, describing the state-of-the-art research and well-established techniques applied in the textile industry, and covering all areas of textile dyeing and finishing. It is intended for academic researchers and professionals in related scientific and engineering fields, including textile engineering, chemistry, nanotechnology, material science, biotechnology and environmental science. The book also provides reference material for stakeholders looking for innovative technologies and insights into the environmental and sustainability issues in the development of functional textiles and related products. He completed his Ph. He has published more than 40 papers in international journals and conference proceedings and is an active reviewer for several leading journals.
Much of the published research centers on three areas: natural dyes as alternatives to man-made dyes; environmental issues, including wastewater color removal and source reduction; and dye application studies, such as waterless dyeing, new dyeing auxiliaries and digital printing. These journals cover results from fundamental and applied research, as well as brief perspectives on topics of general interest to the readers. Natural Dyes Research on natural dyes is inspired by the belief that such dyes are environmentally friendly alternatives to man-made dyes because they are biodegradable, renewable, and perceived as non-toxic, especially since some can be used in food, drug and cosmetic products where they are subject to stringent safety and toxicological standards. The majority of these dyes are obtained from plant rather than animal sources See Figure 1. Today, the application of natural dyes to textiles involves cotton as the principal substrate, although silk is a frequent target.
Advances in the Dyeing and Finishing of Technical Textiles Defects caused in the fabric due to desizing, scouring, bleaching, dyeing, and finishing processes. Colour bleeding and staining - colour bleeding from dyed yarn in fabric tints and stains the adjacent fabric when the fabric undergoes subsequent processes. A rapid fenton treatment of bio-treated dyeing and finishing wastewater at second-scale intervals: kinetics by stopped-flow technique and application in a full-scale plant. The dyeing performance and antibacterial activity are examined on the colored fabric to investigate the dyed fabric quality after nanoparticle deposition. Finishing process in continuous dyeing is one such area which makes a lot of change in final color of the fabric 2. In this note, we will see how problem of metamerism is generated by finishing agents used during the finishing process. Dyefin currently processes tons per week, of dyed fabrics on jet dyeing machines.
